Strength training for golf is essential to helping you create a more powerful golf swing and help increase your longevity in the game. There are a few downsides to strength training if not monitored properly, this why training on flexibilty is also important.

I am going to get very specific in the most important area to focus on while training is the importance of having a strong core. I’m talking about your back, abdominals, and oblique’s. These muscles centralise your whole body. Most people usually think that having big guns and pecks does them justice. But never focus on abs and back muscles which is potentially dangerous because you can have a huge muscle imbalance causing serious injury.

I’m about to share with you some very basic and commonsense info in order to help you get the best gains to impress Tiger Woods.

First thing is first, look at your diet, and check what you are eating. It is a waste of time working out if you eat fast-food on a regular basis. You will not get results. Trust me on this one. They go hand in hand.

Look to eat foods with low fat and high levels of pure protein for example lean meats, peanuts and boiled eggs, also fish. Recovery is really important so consuming the right fuels will bring you massive gains. Important to note aswel is to keep hydrated so fluid intake is a must.

I am assuming now that you have your diet sorted, now I highly recommend a swiss ball for ab and back exercises. If you are not so confident at exercising these muscles I recommend you seek advice of an  expert or a personal trainer to show you some techniques and drills to get you maximum results. A swiss ball is all you need for your core. Because not only will you work on your core, most of these exercises tend to use all muscle groups which will bring you extra benefits as well as flexibility, which is very important for your swing because your core is the engine room and needs to rotate during the golf swing.

Now that you are aware of what to do go out there and make it happen
